Education System Mapping

Below is a basic mapping of an education system, using many of Tim Oates’ "control" factors. It is an early concept and requires development over time, as our understanding of intersecting relations improves.  Key policy control levers are typically available to government and ministries (large dark blue rectangles), and they affect various “actors” in the system (green ovals) . However,  there are many indirect “impact areas” (light blue ovals), such as teacher workload and motivation, school priorities and culture, which are unintentionally affected, for better and for worse.
